Pride of Jenni winning at Mornington

Another Promising Pride of Dubai Winner

Setting the pace on the Australian second crop sires list by earnings and winners, Pride of Dubai added a 12th Australian winner to his tally for the season on Thursday at Mornington with an easy victory for Pride of Jenni (3f Pride of Dubai x Sancerre, by O'Reilly).

David Brideoake has had a lot of success with his Group I winning mare Princess Jenni for owner Tony Ottobre and the same connections are set to enjoy more fun with Pride of Jenni.

Placed at her first two starts last month when she did a few things wrong, Pride of Jenni joined the dots this time, racing away to win by two lengths eased down in the 1200m maiden.

A $100,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Segenhoe Stud draft for Tony Ottobre’s Cape Schanck Stud, Pride of Jenni was bred by Trelawney Stud and is the first foal of winning O’Reilly mare Sancerre, a daughter of Group I Queensland Oaks winner Vouvray.

Pride of Dubai has enjoyed a hot run in the past week with four Australian winners since last Friday including metropolitan winner Tanker and stakes-placed Maha, as well as a stakes double in Europe for Zaffy’s Pride and Telepatic Glances.

The dual Group I winning son of Street Cry stands this spring at a fee of $38,500.
