Another Stakes Win for Munnings Sprinter

Talented sprinter Proforma (3g Munnings x Caseys Irish Pride, by Salt Lake) was a stakes-winner at Fair Grounds last December and struck top form again to win the $58,200 Jersey Shore Stakes at Monmouth on the weekend.

Trained by Michael Stidham and ridden by Joe Bravo, Proforma was well fancied to win and delivered in good style.

He dashed away with the six furlong sprint to win by a length and three-quarters and has now won three of five starts earning in excess of $100,000.

“He showed a dominant presence before the race in the post parade,” said winning jockey Joe Bravo said.

“It showed how much horse I was sitting on when he powered to the lead and won with ease. What a pleasure to ride him for the Stidham crew.”

Proforma is the best of three winners from Caseys Irish Pride, a half-sister to stakes-winners Western Prize and Wicked Deed.
