Auddreys Time (Uncle Mo) wins Joseph E Spanky Broussard Memorial at Fair Grounds

Audrey’s Time Strikes For Uncle Mo

Audrey’s Time (4f Uncle Mo x Unforgotten, by Northern Afleet) was the second of two Coolmore America-sired stakes winners at the Fair Grounds on Monday with a victory in the Joseph E. Spanky Broussard Memorial Stakes.

Grade 2-placed last out, the Lothenbach Stables-owned 4-year-old was happy to give the pacemaker a head start in the one mile race when trailing the field. She steadily made up ground to put herself just behind the leaders as they advanced into the turn and started her bid.

Taking control as the field entered the stretch, Audrey’s Time steadily pulled away to have a 1 ¾ length advantage as they crossed the line.

Trained by Neil Pessin, Audrey’s Time has won three of her seven starts this year with two other on the board finishes with eight top three finishes in her 16 career starts.

Bred by Woodford Thoroughbreds, Audrey’s Time is out of the multiple stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed Unforgotten, who also produced the Grade I-placed Silverpocketsfull from her six winners. Unforgotten is also a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Hot Storm, who produced two stakes winners, and Grade III-placed Heavenly Pride.

The consistently brilliant Uncle Mo has sired 14 stakes winners in 2021 and is the sire of 78 stakes winners in just seven crops of racing age with 14% worldwide stakes performers.
