Australia Yearlings Find Favour at Keeneland

Three yearlings from the first crop of Galileo’s Epsom Derby winning son Australia made a splash at the 2017 Keeneland September Yearling Sale this week.

Offered by Four Star Farms as agent for Dixiana Farm, a strapping chestnut colt from Fly Past fetched $490,000 when secured by Godolphin, who also paid $300,000 for an Australia colt from Magical Steps.

His third youngster, a filly from Tree Chopper was sold for $175,000 to Stripes Stables for Sano Racing.

His success bodes well for the 2017 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale where he has 20 youngsters catalogued in Book One.
