Wilderness Girl (No Nay Never) Wins The Tatler Ebf Fillies Maiden At Goodwood

Balding Success With No Nay Never Continues At Goodwood

Wilderness Girl (2f No Nay Never - Novantae, by Pivotal) continued the fine form of her sire and the Andrew Balding stable when justifying favouritism in the Tatler EBF Fillies Maiden at Goodwood.

The Cornthrop Bloodstock-owned filly finished a promising fourth on debut earlier this month and remained over seven furlongs on Tursday, with William Buick taking the ride. Tracking the leaders on the inner, she was shaken up to lead approaching the final furlong and kept on strongly to score by a length and a quarter.

There should be more to come from the €100,000 yearling purchase, with Thursday’s race having previously produced the likes of Rhododendron (Galileo) and Amazing Maria (Mastercraftsman). Bred by Manister House Stud and Gatewood Bell, she continues a terrific week for her trainer and No Nay Never, following Alcohol Free’s tremendous win in the Sussex Stakes.
