Bella Nipotina (Pride Of Dubai) winning the Gr.3 How Now Stakes at Caulfield

Bella Nipotina Cracks $1million in Earnings

Pride of Dubai’s brilliant daughter Bella Nipotina (4m Pride of Dubai x Bella Orfana, by Star Witness) is yet to miss a place in her current campaign and scored her biggest win to date when flashing home to win the Group III MRC How Now Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Bella Niptotina was luckless at her previous run when second in a Listed race at Moonee Valley, but made amends with this fast finishing victory.

Craig Williams steered the race favourite into clear running with just enough time and she powered to the line to win by three-quarters of a length taking her overall record to three wins and 10 placings from 21 starts with prizemoney topping $1.1million.

An $80,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Lindsay Park Racing / Andrew Williams Bloodstock / Mt Hallowell Stud from the Rosemont stud draft, Bella Nipotina was bred by Michael Christian and partners at Longwood Thoroughbred Farm and they retain a share in her ownership.

She is the first foal of Bella Orfana, a placed sibling by Star Witness to Group winners Hallowell Belle and Fuddle Dee Duddle from the family of Group I Caulfield Guineas winner In Top Swing.

Bella Nipotina has been a great flagbearer for Pride of Dubai, who stands this spring at a value fee of $22,000.
