Camelot Colt Races Clear On Second Start
The Peter Schiergen-trained Nerium (3c Camelot - Nicolaia, by Alkalde) ran out an impressive winner of the three-year-old maiden at Munich on Sunday.
Fifth on debut earlier this month, the son of Camelot raced prominently throughout the mile and three furlong contest. Running on well in the final furlong, he scored by five lengths in comfortable fashion.
Owned by breeder Juergen Imm’s Stall Nizza, Nerium is bred to be progressive, being a half-brother to dual Listed winner Nicolosio (Peintre Celebre). Their dam Nicolaia has a yearling colt by Dylan Thomas named Northern Fighter.
