Beaute Pour Toi (Camelot) winning on debut at Saint Cloud

Camelot Filly Makes Winning Debut At Saint Cloud

Tuesday saw Camelot (3f Camelot – Grain De Beaute, by Lawman) beat a host of well-bred fillies to make a winning debut in the Prix Praline at Saint-Cloud.

Drawn wide in a field of 16, Beaute Pour Toi raced in mid-division for much of the mile contest and was travelling well as the field quickened approaching two furlongs from home. Improving into third entering the final furlong, the bay ran on well under pressure to win by a length and three quarters under Thomas Trullier.

Trained by Nicolas Clement for Noel Greenhalgh, Beaute Pour Toi was bred by Guy Bloodstock. The daughter of Camelot becomes the first winner out of Grain De Beaute, herself closely related to multiple Stakes winner and black-type producer Beyond Desire.

Camelot’s smart debut winner comes just days after the Coolmore sire made history in Australia, where his son Russian Camelot became the first Northern Hemisphere-bred horse to win an Australian Derby.
