Camelot Two-Year-Old Gains Second Stakes Success
King’s Harlequin (2f Camelot - Swift Action, by Invincible Spirit) gained her second Stakes success when making all to win the Group 3 Prix d’Aumale at Longchamp on Thursday.
The Nicholas Clement-trained filly won a Listed contest over seven furlongs in July and was last seen finishing a close third in the Group 2 Prix du Calvados. Stepping up to a mile on her latest start, she was ridden to lead by Pierre-Charles Boudot and quickened from the two furlong pole. Ridden entering the final furlong, she kept on strongly to win by a length and a half.
Twice a Stakes winner and third on her three other starts, the daughter of Camelot has proven remarkably consistent for owners Sam Sangster and Reeves Thoroughbreds. Bred by Edmund Loder, she provides an exciting update for her brother by Highland Reel due to sell at Goffs later this month.
