Churchill Filly Takes Group 3 En Route To Marcel Boussac

Blue Rose Cen (2f Churchill - Queen Blossom, by Jeremy) maintained an upward curve to win Thursday’s Group 3 Prix d’Aumale at ParisLongchamp.

Yeguada Centurion’s homebred recorded back-to-back wins in smart fashion earlier this season, before being narrowly denied in a Listed contest by Irish raider Victoria Road (Saxon Warrior). Contesting just her own sex on Thursday, the Christopher Head-trained bay raced close to the pace under Aurelien Lemaitre and was ridden to challenge after the two furlong marker. Leading inside the final furlong, she kept on well to score by a length and a half.

A delighted Christopher Head said after the race, “She is so tough and genuine and has never let us down. She was beaten by a good horse last time and was facing only fillies this time, so we were hopeful. She now deserves to take her chance in the Marcel Boussac.”
