Classy Son Of Mastercraftsman Not For Catching
The progressive Military Mission (3g Mastercraftsman - Atlantic Isle, by Tamayuz) could not have been more impressive when winning Thursday’s ten furlong Novice Stakes at Salisbury.
Placed twice last season, the Hugo Palmer-trained grey claimed runners-up honours on his seasonal return last month and was sent off favourite to go one better under Oisin Murphy. Making all the running, he faced a challenge approaching three furlongs out and went clear a furlong later. Pushed out, he extended his advantage to eight and a half lengths on the line.
Owned by Mrs Clodagh McStay and the Military Syndicate, Military Mission was bought by Brian Grassick Bloodstock as a foal for 65,000gns. The son of Mastercraftsman was bred by Boocock Trading Ltd.
