Dancing On My Own (Milan) Wins At Wexford

Classy Son Of Milan Gains Deserved Success

A return to black-type company is on the cards for Dancing On My Own (5g Milan - Morning Supreme, by Supreme Leader) after running out a wide margin winner of Sunday’s Maiden Hurdle at Wexford.

Though still a maiden, the Henry de Bromhead-trained bay boasted some excellent form, including a fine fourth at Grade 1 level last season. He was subsequently sent off the short-priced favourite, with Rachael Blackmore riding the Sean and Bernardine Mulryan-owned horse to make all. Four lengths clear at the second last, he extended his lead to 28 lengths on the line.

De Bromhead later commented, “We're delighted he's back on track, he's a lovely horse and it's brilliant to get our first winner for the Mulryans. I think we'll go to Navan towards the end of November for the Grade 3 Monksfield Novice Hurdle. Obviously we'd love to get him to the Ballymore at Cheltenham next spring.”

Bred by Marie-Clare Murphy, Dancing On My Own provides his Flemensfirth half-brother with a nice update ahead of the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale.
