Winners flowing for Mastercraftsman
The Aidan O’Brien-trained Craftsman (2c Mastercraftsman-Weekend Fling, by Forest Wildcat) became the latest impressive winner for Mastercraftsman when scoring at Listowel on Wednesday.
The £185,000 yearling had finished second on his debut earlier in the month and was sent off odds-on for the Listowel seven-furlong maiden, going on to prevail by two lengths under Joseph O’Brien.
"He had a nice run first time out," the winning rider told the Racing Post. "He has plenty of pace. He handled that ground but it is very testing and he will be better on better ground. He is a nice horse."
Also on Wednesday afternoon, Vague Nouvelle (2f Mastercraftsman-Zona, by Mr Greeley) justified short priced favouritism when scoring easily at Milan. Owned and bred by Scuderia Incolinx the 2½ length winner may step up to listed level next.
