Daughter Of Mastercraftsman Gains Black-Type Success

Last year’s Sandringham Handicap winner Agrotera (4m Mastercraftsman - Lombatina, by King’s Best) gained a well-deserved black-type win in Saturday’s Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton.

Beaten just a head in a Listed contest at Longchamp in September, the Ed Walker-trained mare was having her first run of the season. Remaining at the mile trip, she was sent off joint-favourite under Gerald Mosse and took a keen hold behind the leaders. Producing a challenge approaching the final furlong, she soon led and stayed on well to win by a length.

Agrotera is owned and bred by Bjorn Nielsen and was bought in utero by Jeremy Brummitt for 320,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale.
