Debut Win for Royally Bred Colt Dolphus

Scoring a debut victory at Fair Grounds on Sunday was royally bred Dolphus (2c Lookin at Lucky x Lotta Kim, by Roar), a half-brother by Lookin at Lucky to US Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra. Prepared by Joe Sharp, the colt was sent out favourite and found the line well to win the six furlong maiden by three-quarters of a length. A homebred for Dede McGehee’s Heaven Trees Farm, Dolphus is the third winner for stakes-winner Lotta Kim. Lookin at Lucky has enjoyed great results this year with six stakes-winners on the board headed by Breaking Lucky, Madefromlucky and Maybellene.
