Reserve Judgement (Ocovango) Makes A Winning Debut At Tipperary

Debut Winner Continues Fine Run For Ocovango

Reserve Judgment (5g Ocovango - Reserve The Right, by Double Eclipse) created a favourable impression on debut when running out a decisive winner of Sunday’s five-year-old maiden at Tipperary.

The Johnny Berry-trained bay was positioned in mid-division by Shane O’Rourke, jumped well throughout and improved into third at the second last. Leading from the final fence, he ran on well to score by five lengths from Kingofthewest (Westerner), while Milan Bridge (Milan) kept on for third.

Owned by Liam Gahan and bred by Desmond Devereux, Reserve Judgement hails from the first crop of Beeches Stud resident Ocovango. The well-bred son of Monsun was responsible for last month’s impressive Grade 3 Imperial Cup winner Langer Dan (Ocovango), who went on to finish a gallant second in the Martin Pipe hurdle at Cheltenham six days later. Four-year-old point-to-point winner Percy Warner is another star representative for Ocovango, having won both his starts under rules after selling for €100,000.
