Ebiyza Rocks in Longchamp G2

The Aga Khan’s home-bred Ebiyza (3f Rock Of Gibraltar-Ebalista, by Selkirk) became the latest big-race winner for Rock Of Gibraltar when claiming a G2 success at Longchamp on Saturday on the opening day of Arc weekend. The progressive Alain de Royer Dupre-trained filly was awarded the G2 Prix De Royallieu by the stewards after being bumped when originally beaten a head into second in the mile contest. The lightly-raced Ebiyza is a granddaughter of the 1997 G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Prix Royal-Oak heroine Ebadiyla, herself a sibling to the G1 winners Enzeli, Estimate and Ebadiya.
