Galileo ex Wannabe Better yearling filly selling for 3.4 million guineas

Eight millionaires for Galileo

There was no doubting the star stallion of this week’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, not for the first time it was Galileo who stole the show.

The Coolmore legend remarkably had 8 different yearlings make 1 million guineas or higher, headed by the 3.4 milliongns colt out of Shastye sold on the sale’s first day.

M V Magnier snapped up the Newsells Park Stud offering, a 1.3 million gns colt out of Alluring Park sold from Lodge Park Stud and a 1.2 milliongns full-sister to G1 winner Kew Gardens (3c Galileo-Chelsea Rose, by Desert King).

Narvick International paid 1.2 million gns for a Galileo half-sister to Garswood while Cheveley Park Stud spent the same sum for a filly out of G3 winner Wannabe Better (pictured).

A Galileo half-sister to Ivawood was another to make 1.2 million gns when bought by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock, who also spent 1 million gns on a colt out of a half-sister to Midday.

Meanwhile, Robert Nataf of Horse France went to 1.1 million gns for a half-sister to this season’s G3 winner Pollara (3f Camelot-Brooklyn’s Storm, by Storm Cat) purchased to go into training in France.
