Exciting future for latest Mastercraftsman winner
The Kevin Ryan-trained The Grey Gatsby (2c Mastercraftsman-Marie Vision, by Entrepreneur) looks to have a big future after making a winning debut in a York maiden on Saturday.
The Mastercraftsman colt, who is entered in the G2 Gimcrack Stakes, took the six-furlong contest in taking fashion under Graham Lee.
“There is so much improvement in him,” Lee told the Racing Post. “I didn’t want to give him a smack, but if I’s not done that he would have been beaten through sheer greenness.”
The Grey Gatsby, who races in Frank Gillespie’s colours, was bred by Malcolm Parrish and realised 120,000 euros at Arqana in May.
