Fastnet Blueblood Debut Victory

As a half-brother by champion sire Fastnet Rock to $7million earner Criterion, promising colt Comin’ Through (3c Fastnet Rock x Mica’s Pride, by Bit the Bullet) is potentially a very valuable commodity after scoring a debut win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. A homebred for Sir Owen Glenn, prepared by Chris Waller, Comin’ Through was easy in the market but took the 1400 metre maiden by a long neck. "He's got a bright future," was trainer Chris Waller's post-race summation. "We haven't put him under any pressure so he's doing it all himself at the moment."

Comin' Through is the eighth foal and eighth winner for the remarkable Mica's Price, who has also left the stakes winners Silently and Varenna Miss as well as multiple Group I winner Criterion.

Her current two year-old by Pierro sold for $750,000 at Easter this year and she has a yearling by Fastnet Rock colt. Fastnet Rock has proven very successful with this female family, producing stakes-winners Upon This Rock, Bull Point and Amah Rock.
