Fastnet Rock Colt Tops Inglis Select Weanling

A colt by champion sire Fastnet Rock was the star attraction at the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale in Sydney on Monday fetching $240,000. Consigned for sale by Erinvale Thoroughbreds, the star colt was secured by Ian Smith of Edinburgh Park and is the first foal of US import Promptness (USA), an unraced half-sister to five stakes-winners led by US Group III winners War Thief, Watch and Prime Meridian. Promptness returned to Coolmore again last season and is expecting a foal this spring by champion racehorse So You Think.
