Gleneagles Colt Draws Clear On Second Start
Thyer (2c Gleneagles - Magical Rhythms, by Pioneerof The Nile) shaped like a smart prospect when running out a commanding winner on his second start on Friday.
The Andrew Balding-trained colt made a promising debut at Newbury in July, when finishing well to take third, and stepped up to a mile at Thirsk. Sent off favourite under William Buick, the bay made all the running and was asked to quicken when challenged approaching the final furlong. Drawing clear approaching the final furlong, he kept on well to score by three and a half lengths as promising newcomer Miaswell (Gleneagles) finished second.
The son of Gleneagles is owned by Prince Faisal, who bred the bay under his Nawara Stud banner.
