Gleneagles Colt Strikes Late In Newbury Maiden

Oj Lifestyle (2c Gleneagles - Vitlana, by Vale Of York) denied the short-priced favourite with a late challenge in Friday’s seven furlong maiden at Newbury.

Partnered by Tom Queally on his second start, the Gary Moore-trained colt raced in midfield for much of the way and began to make headway from two furlongs out. Producing a challenge inside the final furlong, he kept on well to lead in the final strides, with the front pair finishing sive lengths clear of the field.
