Gleneagles Filly Extends Unbeaten Record In Style
Jumbly (2f Gleneagles - Thistle Bird, by Selkirk) confirmed the promising manner of her maiden victory when running out an impressive winner at Kempton on Friday evening.
The winner of a six furlong maiden in July, the Roger Charlton-trained bay was sent off favourite as she stepped up to seven furlongs under Saffie Osborne. She was travelling well when producing a challenge after the two furlong marker and soon led, before being pushed out to win by three lengths and three quarters.
A step up in class may now be on the cards for Emily Rothschild’s homebred filly, who holds an entry in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes later this month.
