One Look (Gleneagles) Wins The Listed Vincent O’ Brien Ruby Stakes At Killarney

Gleneagles Filly Strikes Late For Stakes Success

One Look (3f Gleneagles – Holy Salt, by Holy Roman Emperor) swooped late to take the Listed Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes at Killarney on Friday.

The Paddy Twomey-trained filly emerged as an exciting prospect when making an impressive debut in the Goffs Million last September and made a successful return earlier this season. Runner-up at Listed level last time out, she was sent off favourite on Friday, but looked unlucky when short of room two furlongs from home. Switched right, she ran on strongly once clear and swept past her rivals to lead by a length on the line.

Speaking after the race, the winning trainer said, “She seems to like coming through horses and has the class to do that. She is a nice filly, is a stakes winner now and you'd imagine going to the Denny Cordell Lavarack Stakes in Gowran next month could be next.”

The daughter of Gleneagles is owned by the Connolly Racing Syndicate and was bred by Tullpark Ltd.
