Group 3 Glory Tops Successful Day For Gleneagles

Sunday saw Tabera (4f Gleneagles - Temida, by Oratorio) return to form at Baden-Baden, where she recorded her fourth Stakes success in the Group 3 Preis der Sparkassen Finanzgruppe.

Maxim Pecheur took the ride aboard the Miltcho Mintchev-trained bay, positioning his mount prominently throughout the ten furlong contest and led from two furlongs out. Ridden clear approaching the final furlong, Litex Commerce’s homebred was driven out to win by three lengths and three quarters.

Connections began the day well with another impressive winner by Gleneagles, as Lajoscha (3c Gleneagles - Lady Linda, by Torrential) bolted up by all of 15 lengths.

The newcomer won with considerable ease under Mirko Sanna, who said, “I was basically just a passenger.” The exciting colt is a half-brother to Group 1 Preis der Diana heroine Penelopa (Giant’s Causeway).
