Bobhopeornohope (Westerner) winning at Dromahane

Impressive Dromahane 1-2 For Westerner

The sales ring now beckons for Bobhopeornohope (4g Westerner - Bandelaro, by Beneficial) after making a successful debut at Dromahane on Sunday.

Eight lined up for the four-year-old maiden and Shane O’Rourke rode the Cormac Doyle-trained bay in a prominent position. Leading 50 yards from the line, he ran on to beat fellow newcomer Black Gerry (Westerner) by a length and a half, with a further eight lengths back to the third horse.

Bred by Paul Giles, Bobhopeornohope is the first winner out of Bandelaro, a full-sister to Grade 2 winner Marlbrook.
