Broadhurst (No Nay Never) Wins His Maiden At Dundalk

Impressive No Nay Never Colt Completes Ballydoyle Treble

Broadhurst (3c No Nay Never - Sweet Charity, by Myboycharlie) completed a treble for Ballydoyle at Dundalk on Tuesday when running out an impressive winner of the seven furlong maiden.

A close second on his sole juvenile start, the son of No Nay Never was unsuited by heavy ground at the Curragh last time out and was sent off favourite to bounce back under Ryan Moore. Racing prominently throughout, he led after the two furlong marker and quickened clear to win by a comfortable six lengths.

“He's a nice horse going forward,” stable representative Chris Armstrong said after the race. “We'll probably just let him work through the grades - a winners' race or a handicap for him next and let him find his own way.”

Broadhurst is owned by Coolmore partners and Westerberg, as were O’Brien and Moore’s first two winners Brighter (Ten Sovereigns) and Red Riding Hood (Justify). Bred by Lynch Bages Ltd and Summerhill Bloodstock, the son of No Nay Never was sold by Camas Park Stud to MV Magnier for €620,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale.
