Impressive No Nay Never Newcomer To Target Stakes Contests

Caroline Street (2f No Nay Never - Harvestfortheworld, by So You Think) will step up to Stakes company after making an impressive debut in a competitive fillies’ maiden at Leopardstown.

The daughter of No Nay Never was sent off joint-favourite for the mile contest and was ridden prominently by Shane Crosse. Travelling best when asserting approaching the final furlong, she was ridden clear to win by two lengths, as fellow market leader Amusement (Galileo) claimed runners-up honours.

The winner had shaped with promise in a barrier trial at Dundalk, which stood to her on Thursday, as winning trainer Joseph O’Brien explained. “Caroline Street is a nice filly,” he said. “She had a lovely trial where she was green and slowly away, it sharpened her up a good deal. She was impressive there and will be jumping into a stakes race now.”

Owned by Marc Detampel, Caroline Street holds entries in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes and Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Sourced as a yearling for $200,000, the daughter of No Nay Never was bred by Grantley Acres, R Conner and R Davidson.
