Capuchinero (Holy Roman Emperor) Wins Her Maiden At Dundalk

Improving Holy Roman Emperor Filly Gains Maiden Win

The progressive Capuchinero (3f Holy Roman Emperor - Ape Attack, by Nayef) led home a 1-2-3 for Coolmore sires in Friday’s six furlong maiden at Dundalk.

The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor dropped back in trip on her second start for Joseph O’Brien and raced in touch with the leaders under Jake Coen. Improving to lead approaching the final furlong, she ran on well under pressure to win by a length from Un Bacio Ancora (No Nay Never), while Diamondsinthesand (Footstepsinthesand) took third.

Owned by the Thoroughbred Racing Syndicate, Capuchinero was bred by Chasemore Farm out of a half-sister to Group 2 Dante Stakes second Straight forward (Galileo).
