Joke Sisi Leads Home G2 Exacta for Practical Joke

Joke Sisi (2f Practical Joke x Lucky Sisi, by Lookin At Lucky) added a third stakes win to her record on Saturday in Chile when the filly led home the exacta for her sire in the Group II Grand Prix Criadores Salvador Hess Riveros.

Racing over 7 ½ furlongs, Joke Sisi took up a spot on the rail to duel on the front end with another rival until that one started fading down the backstretch. The winner was held well in hand by her jockey as the field swung into the stretch and it was obvious she was far the best with Joke Sisi never feeling the whip in her 13 ¼ length romp.

Now undefeated in four starts and looking like a strong candidate for Champion 2-Year-Old honors, Joke Sisi is owned by Identic Stud and prepared by Juan Pablo Baeza.

It’s an Ashford family affair for the Agricola Taomina Ltd.-bred Joke Sisi, who is out of Lookin At Lucky’s Group II winning daughter Lucky Sisi. Lookin At Lucky has had plenty of success with the family with his Group I-winning son Kurilov on the page in addition to Scat Daddy’s Group I winner Kitcat and Knockout.

In all, there are nine stakes performers under Joke Sisi’s first three dams, led by five Group I winners.

This was the second Practical Joke exacta for Joke Sisi, who beat home Canada in last month’s Listed Clasico Alberto Vial Letelier.
