Jordan A Dominant MSW Winner For Justify
J.R. Caldwell owned and trained Jordan (2f Justify x Natural Rush, by Indian Charlie) became Justify’s 17th winner on Wednesday night with a 3 ¾ length Maiden Special Weight victory at Remington Park.
Racing over five furlongs on the turf, Jordan was the first out of the gate and immediately went to pacemaking duties. Keeping a slight lead on the field early on, she started pulling away in the turn and in the stretch had plenty of time to build her margin. She won by 3 ¾ lengths with everyone behind the second-place horse finishing at least 9 ¼ lengths back.
Bred by Ashview Farm and Colt’s Neck Stables, Jordan has finished on the board in two of her four starts.
Jordan is a half-sister to stakes winning Wyatt’s Town and one of two winners out of her winning Indian Charlie dam. That mare is out of multiple graded stakes winner Lu Ravi, who also produced multiple stakes winner Ravi’s Song, the dam of stakes-placed The Bandit, and granddam of stakes-placed Patricia L.
Jordan’s Grade III winning third dam At The Half is also the granddam of champion Halfbridled with others under her name including dual Grade I winner Mshawish and stakes winner and multiple graded stakes-placed Clayton.
Natural Rush had a colt from four-time Grade I winner Tiz The Law’s first crop this year.
Justify leads all North American freshmen by stakes winners at four, graded stakes winners at three, graded stakes horses at four, and Grade I performers as well. He is also second by winners and by stakes performers with six.
