Justify's Second Crop Makes Sale Ring Debut with $1.2 Million JRHA Colt
The sire of a US$1.8 million yearling during the first session of the JRHA Select Sale, Justify followed that up with a US$1,216,217 foal at the sale on Tuesday.
Purchased by Miki Masahiro from consigner Grand Stud, the colt is the second foal out of U.S. Champion 2-Year-Old Caledonia Road, who also has a Justify yearling.
Caledonia Road is one of three stakes performers for Come A Callin, alongside stakes winner One of a Kind and stakes-placed Officiating. Come A Callin is also a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Citizen Advocate and out of a half-sister to the dams of Grade I winners Hymn Book and Data Link.
Justify’s first crop of weanlings averaged $394,563 last year for 10 sold with his first yearlings hitting the ring now.
