Magna Grecia Filly First Past The Post In Maiden
First Kiss (3f Magna Grecia – Kiss From A Rose, by Compton Place) built on a promising debut to land the seven furlong fillies’ maiden at Kempton on Wednesday.
Trained by John and Thady Gosden for Mrs Tabor, Mrs MV Magnier and Mrs Shanahan, the 115,000gns yearling finished third despite running green on her sole juvenile start and was hampered on return to action last month. She raced prominently throughout on Wednesday and was ridden to lead approaching the final furlong. She kept on gamely under Kieran Shoemark to deny Grace Taufan (Ten Sovereigns) by a neck, the pair finished a length and a quarter clear of the well-backed favourite in third.
The first crop daughter of Magna Grecia was bred by Limetree Stud and is entered in the upcoming Tattersalls Autumn Horses-In-Training Sale.
