Mastercraftsman South American Grade I Quinella
Quality colt Ya Primo (3c Mastercraftsman x Yo Quisiera, by Special Quest) notched his second Grade I victory in the Grade I Longines Gran Premio Latina Americano at Club Hipico in Chile last weekend defeating Nombar (3c Mastercraftsman x Nimbar, by Stormin Fever).
Trained by Guillermo Aguirre, Ya Primo powered away to win the 2000 metre turf contest by more than three lengths taking his overall record to five wins from nine starts.
Ya Primo is the best of seven winners from Yo Quisiera, a half-sister to Chilean Horse of the Year Gadanes.
He is one of 12 Group I winners for versatile sire Mastercraftsman and is his second in South America.
