Our Terms (Wootton Bassett) Wins At Ascot

Mill Reef Mentioned For Smart Son Of Wootton Bassett

A step up in class is on the cards for Our Terms (2c Wootton Bassett – Best Terms, by Exceed And Excel) following a smart performance in Saturday’s six furlong maiden at Ascot.

Richard Hannon’s charge shaped with promise on debut at Newmarket, where he finished fourth over seven furlongs, and was partnered by Ryan Moore on his second start. He broke smartly and made all, running on well when challenged to score by half a length, with another three lengths back to the third.

“Our Terms is a very willing and straightforward horse,” Hannon commented. “I was delighted with his first run at Newmarket and, having had the run, he hit the gate very well and Ryan gave him a lovely ride. This is always a nice, valuable maiden. He's always been nice and the Mill Reef closes on Monday so we'll have a look at that.”

Hannon has an excellent record in the maiden, with previous winners including record-breaking two-year-old Mums Tipple (Footstepsinthesand) and Group 1 performer Eqtiraan.

The exciting son of Wootton Bassett is owned and bred by the Barnett family.
