One Look (Gleneagles) Wins At Cork

Millionaire Filly Another Classic Contender For Gleneagles

Goffs Million heroine One Look (3f Gleneagles – Holy Salt, by Holy Roman Emperor) fuelled Classic dreams when making a successful seasonal return at Cork on Saturday.

The Paddy Twomey-trained filly won connections €610,000 when bolting up by six lengths on her sole juvenile start and dominated the market in Saturday’s Irish EBF Median Auction Race. Tracking the leaders under Billy Lee, she cruised into the lead with a furlong left to race and drew clear to score by three lengths

“She did exactly what we were hoping she would do and I'm thrilled with the way she did it,” Twomey said after the race. “That was her first piece of work for the year so we'll sit down and make a plan. We will see where we go but she is in the Irish, English, French and German Guineas.”

One Look is owned by the Connolly Racing Syndicate and was bred by Tullpark Ltd out of the Holy Roman Emperor mare Holy Salt. Her sire Gleneagles has an exciting season ahead, with his Classic contenders also including recent Group 3 winner Brilliant (Gleneagles) and unbeaten colt Arrow Eagle (Gleneagles).
