Seasoned stakes performer International Star (4h Fusaichi Pegasus x Parlez, by French Deputy) claimed another Black Type success when taking out the $75,000 Louisiana Stakes at the Fair Grounds on Saturday.
Trained by Michael Maker, International Star won the 1 and 1/16th mile contest by a length and a half.
An $85,000 Fasig-Tipton yearling purchase, International Star runs for Ken and Sarah Ramsey and is a half-brother to stakes-winners Fools in Love and DC Dancer being one of five winners from Parlez.
He has the overall record of six wins from 11 starts and has now won over $1 million in prizemoney.
