Nenufar Azul Leads Lookin At Lucky-Sired G2

It was a Lookin At Lucky exacta in the Group II Gran Clasico Coronacion in Chile on Sunday when Nenufar Azul (3f Lookin At Lucky x Nadie Como Ella, by Rock of Gibraltar) beat Suspira Mi Amor to the line.

Giving owner Stud Haras Don Alberto the exacta as well, the pair raced in the last two positions in the 1 ¼ mile turf race as the leader raced freely open lengths in front of the field. The Lookin At Luckys started to make their move in the final 3 furlongs with Nenufar Azul taking over with just over an eighth to run.

Nenufar Azul coasted home six lengths in front with Suspira Mi Amor having second well in hand as well.

Trained by Juan Cavieres, Nenufar Azul is also the winner of the Group I Clasico El Derby with placings in four other Group I races.

Nenufar Azul is a great-granddaughter of dual Grade I winner Noches de Rosa with the family also including Chilean champion Matto Mondo.

Lookin At Lucky is the sire of 65 stakes winners and 122 stakes performers, led by 16 Grade I winners.
