Bella Nipotina (Pride Of Dubai) finished second i the $500,000 MVRC Inglis Banner at Moonee Valley

New Stakes Horse for Pride of Dubai

Talented filly Bella Nipotina (2f Pride of Dubai x Bella Orfana, by Star Witness) ran a brilliant race at Moonee Valley on Saturday beaten a head in the $500,000 MVRC Inglis Banner (1000m) behind quality colt Ideas Man.

The Hayes and Dabernig trained chestnut daughter of Pride of Dubai was an unlucky fourth on debut earlier this month in the Listed MRC Debutant Stakes won by Tanker (2c Pride of Dubai x Calcatta, by Tale of the Cat) and took benefit and race experience from that outing to only just miss at her second outing.

An $80,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Rosemont Stud draft for Lindsay Park Racing / Andrew Williams Bloodstock / Mt Hallowell Stud, Bella Nipotina is the first foal of Bella Orfana, a sibling to Group winners Hallowell Belle and Fuddle Dee Duddle from the family of Caulfield Guineas winner In Top Swing.

A dual Group I winning two year-old from the family of champion two year-old sires Invincible Spirit and Kodiac, Pride of Dubai has made a swift start with his first three runners – Tanker, Bella Nipotina and Platinum Dubai all either winning or placing.

Pride of Dubai is priced at $38,500 this spring.
