Nezar scores for Mastercraftsman
The William Haggas-trained Nezar (2g Mastercraftsman-Teddy Bears Picnic, by Oasis Dream) made an eye-catching victorious debut at Windsor on Monday night to provide Mastercraftsman with more first-crop success.
William Buick brought the colt with a well-timed run to land the six-furlong maiden in the colours of Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar.
“He was green but the race panned out nicely for him. He´s had a nice first time out experience and should come on for it,” Buick told the Racing Post.
Nezar, a great grandson of the G1 Prix Diane winner Escaline, was bought for £65,000 at last year’s Doncaster Premier Sale by Tony Nerses.
