Bounty (No Nay Never) Wins His Maiden At Naas

No Nay Never Colt Skips Clear To Maiden Success

Bounty (2c No Nay Never – Rosdhu Queen, by Invincible Spirit) outclassed his rivals with a stylish success in Sunday’s six furlong maiden at Naas.

Aidan O’Brien’s charge was sent off a short-priced favourite following his debut second to a well-regarded type in a Curragh maiden, and was ridden prominently by Wayne Lordan. The bay looked the likely winner from some way out and was full of running when leading at the two furlong pole. Ridden a furlong later, he soon drew clear and ran on to win by four and a half lengths.

“He’s a nice colt,” Lordan commented. “He finds that pace easy so he’s going to be a quick horse. He’s showing that at the moment. He handles that ground fine, and he feels like he’ll handle quick ground as well.”

A Coolmore homebred, the son of No Nay Never holds an early entry in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.
