No Nay Never Filly Draws Clear At Chantilly
Goa (3f No Nay Never – Music In My Heart, by Galileo) produced a smart performance to run out a clear winner of Friday’s fillies’ maiden at Chantilly.
The Nicholas Clement-trained filly finished a close second on debut to Nadelia, who holds Classic entries, and enjoyed a form boost when the fourth horse subsequently won. Racing over a mile on Friday, she broke smartly under Stephane Pasquier before settling behind the leaders. Quickening on the turn for home, she was pushed along to lead approaching the final furlong and soon drew clear under hands and heels to win by four lengths.
Owned by Ecurie Francky Defosse and Frederic Sauque, Goa was bred by Lynch Bages out of a full-sister to Mahler.
