Yes My Boy (Footstepsinthesand) Wins On Debut at Newcastle

Perfect Debut Performance By Footstepsinthesand Colt

Yes My Boy (3c Footstepsinthesand - Amazing Krisken, by Kris S) created a favourable impression on debut when beating more experienced rivals to win the Novice Stakes at Newcastle on Tuesday.

The Archie Watson-trained colt raced prominently throughout the mile contest and led from three furlongs out under Adam McNamara. Ridden approaching the final furlong, he kept on strongly to hold off Cemhaan by three parts of a length, with another length and a half back to the favourite in third.

Owned by Arjun Waney and bred by Churchtown House Stud, Yes My Boy is a half-brother to two Stakes winners by Galileo. The bay’s debut success bodes well for his two-year-old full-sister, who sold for €200,000 last October.
