Personal Best for Pierro

A dominant champion on the track, Golden Slipper winning sire Pierro is just as dominant in the breeding barn having been Champion First, Second and Third Crop sire and in the 2019/2020 season, with his oldest progeny five year-olds, he has given the big guns a run for their money in the race to be Champion Australian Sire.

Pierro finished the season with his best ever results on earnings, winners and stakes-winners!

He sired 116 winners of 193 races from just 211 runners that collected $15.7 million in prizemoney putting him third behind only Snitzel and I Am Invincible on the Australian General Sires List by earnings.

His tally of nine Australian stakes-winners was also his best so far, surpassing the eight Australian stakes-winners he sired last year and he also had a Group II winner in New Zealand in Dragon Leap to give him 10 stakes-winners in total.

They were headed by his Group I winners Shadow Hero and Regal Power as well as Group II winners Pierata, Reelem in Ruby and Arcadia Queen.

Pierro has had a deserved fee increase this spring and stands at $137,500.
