Pierro Progeny Find Favour at Inglis Easter
Golden Slipper winner Pierro is the first stallion in Australia this season to crack $13million in progeny earnings and his offspring at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale online were bought by some of the best judges in the business.
Hawkes Racing purchased his top seller, paying $400,000 for the Turangga Farm bred colt (pictured) from Life on the Edge, a sibling to stakes-winners Glenall and Panipique.
The colt is bred on a winning cross being from a daughter of champion sire Redoute’s Choice. This nick has produced eight stakes-winners including Group I winners Levendi, Regal Power and Arcadia Queen and runs at 21% stakes-winners to runners!
Pierro’s most expensive filly was bought by Ciaron Maher Racing for $370,000. Consigned by Segenhoe Stud, she is a full sister to stakes-winner Bellevue Hill and is the fifth foal from Bellevue Girl, a full sister to stakes-winner Sugar Babe.
Pierro had nine yearlings sell at an average $275,556.
