Pierro Youngster Goes Two for Two
Promising gelding Poseidon’s Pool (2g Pierro x Kulgrinda, by Exceed and Excel) made it two wins in as many starts when saluting at Morphettville on Saturday for champion trainer Darren Weir.
A homebred for David Moodie’s Hesket Bloodstock, Poseidon’s Pool was a debut winner at Ballarat on July 13 and then kept the good work going to post his second success in the 1050 metre juvenile contest.
He found the line strongly to win by a length with the favourite Illumicon back in fourth place.
