Star Of Emaraaty (Pride Of Dubai) Wins At Ayr

Pride Of Dubai Filly Confirms Promise With Maiden Win

Star Of Emaraaty (2f Pride Of Dubai - La Grande Elisa, by Ad Valorem) made all to provide Pride Of Dubai with a first crop Northern Hemisphere winner at Ayr on Monday.

Trained by Kevin Ryan for Ontoawinner and Mrs J Ryan, the chesnut finished a promising second on debut and is clearly well thought of by connections, as she next ran in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot. Stepping up in trip to seven furlongs at Ayr, she was asked to quicken by Kevin Stott as Party Spirit produced a strong challenge two furlongs out. Staying on well, she prevailed by a neck on the line, with the first two horses finishing over four lengths clear of the third.

Bred by Karis Bloodstock and Rathbarry Stud out of a half-sister to Rip Van Winkle (Galileo), Star Of Emaraaty hails from the first Northern Hemisphere crop of Pride Of Dubai. The beautifully-bred son of Street Cry has made a terrific start at stud in his native Australia, with his 11 winners including three Stakes performers, namely Tanker, who won the Listed Debutant Stakes on debut.
