Quality First Foals for Coventry Stakes winner Arizona!
Coventry Stakes-Gr.2 winner Arizona (No Nay Never) sired a smashing colt on Tuesday night out of Sweet Martoni at Thistletown Stud in Co. Wexford. Jimmy Furlong, who owns the foal with Ken Sneath, described him as “a fine big, bay colt with plenty of quality, just like his sire.”
Sweet Martoni is a winning daughter of Dubawi and the Stakes winner Sweetness Herself and is also a half-sister to a Stakes winner.
Another recent arrival is the filly out of the Cable Bay mare Cora Bay, described by owner Julian Czerpak as “a lovely, bay filly and very correct.”
In Royal Ascot’s Coventry Stakes Arizona defeated the likes of dual Gr.2 winner Threat and Gr.1 winner Golden Horde before finding only Champion 2YO Pinatubo too good in the Dewhurst Stakes-Gr.1. Arizona is a full-brother to Gr.2 winner Nay Lady Nay and is closely related to European Champion 2YO Dabirsim, while his grandam is the Gr.1 winner Bright Generation.
Arizona stands at Castlehyde Stud for €6,000.
