Royal Ascot could be next for Galileo G3 winner
The Aidan O’Brien-trained Beacon Rock (3c Galileo-Remember When, by Danehill Dancer) brought another Group victory for Galileo at the Curragh on Sunday when winning the G3 Gallinule Stakes by two lengths.
Beacon Rock is entered in the G1 Derby at Epsom, the G1 Irish Derby and the G2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot and the latter is now under consideration, according to O’Brien.
"He's a tough horse and kept responding. Ryan (Moore) was left alone in front and gave him a very good ride. He was only doing what he had to do,” said O’Brien. "We'll have a good look at Ascot with all those horses and he'll get a mile and a half.”
Beacon Rock is owned by Derrick Smith, Mrs John Magnier and Michael Tabor.
